Mr Vincent Litt, M.D., Master in Public Health and Tropical Medicine, Anthropologist (º1954)

  • Public Health consultant. Fields of expertise: Health System Management, District Health System, Hospital Management, Health Workforce, Maternal Health, Health Pedagogy, design and development of Training Programmes, Health Project Design, Management and Evaluation.
  • Vincent Litt started his career as a project manager for the development of a district health care system in Ségou (Mali 1980-1985). He worked for the Swiss Tropical institute in Chad (1987-1993) first as coordinator of health projects and afterwards as adviser at the Human Resources and Training Department of MOH. He continued his long-term expert career in Cambodia where he supported the provincial health team in the province of Kandal (Unicef-funding, 1993-1996).
  • Vincent Litt was linked to the Royal Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp as project manager and senior researcher; he coordinated a research project on "Unmet obstetric needs" in 12 countries (1998-2000).
  • Vincent Litt also works in the Belgian health system, more specifically supporting general practitioners in the fields of health promotion, injury prevention and integrated approach of prevention.
  • Vincent Litt joined HERA in 2004.
  • In 2006 he completed a postgraduate training in anthropology.
  • He is a senior expert in public health with more than twenty years experience in developing countries in Africa (Benin, Cameroon, Chad, Mali, Morocco, Rwanda, Senegal) and Asia (Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos).
