HERA has access to a global network of consultants and collaborates with several European consulting companies. This is being translated in formal friendly networks such as the HERA-ALTER-ETC-HPI network.
Or in temporary framework agreements. Presently HERA is member of the AEDES consortium for the EC and manages the MTR framework contract for the BTC, together with SHER.
Or in collaboration with other firms in the North such as ADE, SHER, CHD, PARTICIP, ECORYS, IDA Solutions and PHC
HERA has research links with Schools of Public Health and other academic and research institutions in Europe and throughout the world. Examples are the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp (ITM), the Public Health School of the Free University of Brussels (ESP), the Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam (KIT) and the Swiss Tropical Institute (STI).
HERA is also member of the Belgian Platform Be-cause Health and contributes actively to its functioning.
Importantly, HERA has developed networks with institutions, consulting companies and individuals in the south and actively develops this network further. HERA aims at supporting and developing professional consultant capacity in the South. Some of the organisations HERA works with in the South are SEDES (Niger), SECHABA (Lesotho), ETC East-Africa (Kenya) HPI Ghana, Koni Expertise (Mali) and HAL (Bangladesh).
These networks allow HERA ready access to many types of specific expertise in health sector and health systems development; health economics and pharmaceutical sector development.
